PGY1 residents are scheduled to be a case presenter for one of these rounds after completing the BIDMC cardiology rotation. Preceptors include CHA cardiologists.
The session is intended to be a case-based teaching session in which PGY1s partner with the cardiologist who provides teaching commentary. Case presentations are enhanced by supplemental material such as imaging, EKGs, and echocardiograms. Faculty mentors will assist PGY1 presenters in choosing the case, framing the learning goals, structuring the hour, and effectively engaging the cardiologist faculty.
