Have your baby with our amazing midwives

The Cambridge Birth Center is an intimate, home-like setting directly across from the hospital. That's why so many women with a low risk pregnancy see us as a great choice for care.

Midwifery deliveries are temporarily relocated to the McGovern Maternity Suite at CHA Cambridge Hospital. Starting on March 11, prenatal visits will be seen elsewhere while the Birth Center is renovated. Please call 617-665-2229 to confirm your upcoming visit.

CHA Birth Center Update - March 2024

CHA is committed to maternal health equity and is moving forward with plans to reopen the CHA Birth Center. Construction is underway to renovate and update the three birthing rooms to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and families. To improve equity and outcomes, CHA is working with community groups to develop education and outreach strategies for underserved communities to raise awareness about the benefits of midwifery and birth center care. Check back later this year for additional updates.
