I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. After graduating from St. Anselm College, I quickly discovered my niche was caring for women in labor and delivery. I worked for ten years as a labor and delivery nurse. Five of these years were at Cambridge Health Alliance. I worked with amazing midwives and realized I wanted to become a midwife. After my own amazing birth experience birthing my daughter, it gave me the push I needed to go to midwifery school.
I was fortunate to be a midwife at the North Shore Birth Center for fourteen years. I was able to provide both hospital and birth center care. I have recently joined the Cambridge Birth Center Midwifery practice and it feels like home. I feel extremely lucky to be joining this midwifery group. I have a strong belief in the normalcy of pregnancy and birth. My desire is to help women and families have the birth they dream about.
I live in Winthrop with my husband, John and two teenage daughters. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming and jogging.
