Having a lung or breathing condition can cause anxiety and make it hard to do the things you love. Pulmonary Rehab can help.
Our nationally-accredited program, based at CHA Everett Hospital, helps adults with chronic lung conditions like COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis and other conditions.
When you join our program, you get an entire team to help you manage your breathing, stay healthier and be more active.
You won't be alone!
Pulmonary Rehabilitation uses a team approach. You will be guided by breathing experts as you work side-by-side with others who have similar lung problems.
Your team includes a lung doctor (pulmonologist), respiratory therapist and other staff. Together, they will educate, support and encourage you.
A personalized program to help you reach your goals
Breathing better takes time. You need to build up the ability to be more active and learn to cope with fear or anxiety from being short of breath. Every patient has different needs, so we'll work together to figure out the best approach for you.
During the 12-week program, you'll meet 2 days a week for about 2 hours each time. Each session begins with education on things that affect lung health, including nutrition, smoking, exercise, mood and breathing retraining. We also have a full fitness room with treadmills, bikes and strength training equipment.
All Are Welcome
We care for people from around the world, including patients whose first language is not English. We will provide interpreter services and translate documents if needed.
