Norah Mulvaney-Day, PhD

Director, Psychiatry Research Office
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Mulvaney-Day has more than 25 years experience conducting and overseeing behavioral health research and evaluation projects, particularly among underserved populations, and is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative approaches to study design. Her role at CHA includes coordinating the Quarterly Research Development series, providing mentorship to trainees and other early career clinician researchers in the department, identifying and collaborating on funding initiatives, building research infrastructure, and managing the staff and resources in the PRO to provide robust research and administrative supports to clinician researchers at CHA. Dr. Mulvaney-Day received her PhD in mental health policy from Brandeis University, where she was an NIMH mental health services research trainee.

Carl Fulwiler, MD, PhD

Chair and Chief of Psychiatry, Cambridge Health Alliance
Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School

As Chair and Chief of the Harvard Department of Psychiatry at CHA, Dr. Fulwiler provides leadership and oversight for all research, academic and clinical components of the department. He established the PRO to support research in the department, including the development of early career clinician researchers. Dr. Fulwiler’s career in public sector psychiatry has focused on improving behavioral health outcomes for underserved populations by integrating novel clinical, population health, research, and training approaches.

Dr. Fulwiler received his M.D. from Washington University and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard Medical School where he also completed a residency in Psychiatry at McLean Hospital. During his career he has held a variety of leadership roles in training, clinical services, and research. He has conducted federally-funded research on health services for underserved populations, neuroimaging, and mindfulness-based interventions in healthcare. Prior to joining CHA in 2020, he was a Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Benjamin Cook, PhD, MPH

Vice Chair of Research
Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Benjamin Lê Cook is a Professor at Harvard Medical School and Director of Research in the CHA Department of Psychiatry. He oversees research in the department and collaborates with faculty to support the development of early career clinicians and researchers.

Dr. Cook directs the Health Equity Research Lab and is focused on enhancing methods for measuring disparities to understand the root causes of mental health and substance use treatment inequalities, the connection between acculturation and mental health, and regional variations in mental health service utilization gaps. He holds a BA in Psychology from Swarthmore College, an MPH from UNC-Chapel Hill in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education, and a PhD from Harvard University in Health Policy, concentrating in Evaluative Science and Statistics.

Lynn DeLisi, MD

Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs
Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School 

Dr. Lynn Delisi is Director of Faculty Affairs for the CHA Department of Psychiatry. In this role, she oversees appointments and promotions at Harvard Medical School, where she also teaches and directs multiple research projects focused on schizophrenia. Dr. Delisi is a renowned researcher in the field of schizophrenia and has been instrumental in the establishment of Schizophrenia Research. She guides and supports several investigators in their pilot and fellowship projects concerning first-episode psychosis and other major mental disorders.

Dr. Delisi currently holds the position of Chief Psychiatrist in the First Episode Treatment and Recovery Program (FEP-TR) and Recovery in Shared Experiences (RISE) clinic at CHA. She received her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and spent considerable time working in the intramural research program at the National Institute of Mental Health.

Reina Lorjuste

Research Coordinator

Renia is a Research Coordinator for the Psychiatry Research Office. She works closely with clinician researchers and research administratorsto provide assistance with grant proposals, IRB submissions, and department-wide collaborative research efforts. Being a staunch advocate for social justice, Renia strives to create systems that help marginalized communities in Boston. In her previous role, she worked as a General Pediatric Research Assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, where she was actively involved in various projects that focused on quality improvement, immigration, vaccines, and genetics research. Presently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in educational leadership.

Esi Coro

Research Coordinator

Esi is a Research Coordinator for the Psychiatry Research Office. Esi’s responsibilities include assisting with the organization and coordination of multiple research projects and providing support to investigators, in particular projects focused on assessing effectiveness of care for individuals with serious mental illness. She has a diverse portfolio and received her Bachelors and Masters from UMass Boston in Applied Sociology, heavily focused on research methods and evaluation research. Esi is passionate about exploring and understanding determinants of health including behavior, environmental and physical influences, medical care and social factors, and enjoys supporting the PRO in its mission to improve the quality of clinical care and combat healthcare disparities.

JT Lambert

Research Coordinator

JT is a Research Coordinator for PRO. He assists early career clinician researchers and other researchers in the department with grant proposals, trainings, IRB submissions, study design, data analysis, and publication of results. In addition, he works on department-wide collaboration, external collaboration, and more. JT is passionate about addressing disparities within our communities and improving our public health system. He has previously worked at Partners In Health in responding to COVID-19 and conducted a variety of research at other organizations. He is currently pursuing an MPH at Boston University.

Maïté Paillet

Financial Analyst

Maïté is the principal Financial Analyst in the Psychiatry Research Office. She addresses the financial and project management needs of grant-sponsored psychiatry-based research for clinician researchers in the Department of Psychiatry at CHA. She develops systems and processes pertaining to financial modeling, planning and budgeting, reporting and analysis, and project management. Maïté contributes to a wide array of other projects for the Office, including helping with the co-creation and design of this website. She is also an IMTA CMT-P® Certified Mindfulness Teacher - Professional Level, so she particularly enjoys supporting any project incorporating mindfulness.

Zoe Chamberlain

Administrative Coordinator

Zoe works as the Administrative Coordinator for the Psychiatry Research Office. In this role, she helps build infrastructure across the Department of Psychiatry and provides administrative support to the research office and faculty by scheduling meetings, collecting and updating documents, and assisting with various aspects of conducting research. Previously, Zoe has worked as a high school and preschool teacher and loves to spend time with children. She is especially interested in research pertaining to addiction or improved care for children's mental health needs.
