Our general surgeons perform a variety of procedures, including surgery for the appendix, stomach, colon and gallbladder. Whenever we can, we use methods which allow for faster and easier recovery. In some cases, you may even be able to go home the same day. Our goal is to help you get the best results with the least discomfort.

We provide general surgery appointments at three convenient locations. It’s easy to get an appointment with one of our surgeons. If it’s something urgent, we may even be able to see you within a day.

You don't have to go into Boston to get world-class surgical care. Our general surgery team has done thousands of procedures at CHA and some of Boston’s best teaching hospitals. We perform surgeries for both common and complex conditions, using advanced equipment and techniques. If there’s a surgery we don’t do, we will refer you to one of our hospital partners. CHA works closely with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is a teaching site for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program.
