Massachusetts Breast and Cervical Cancer Program

Previously The Women's Health Network

Knowing about breast and cervical cancer could save your life.

The Massachusetts Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (previously the Women’s Health Network) is here to help women, trans men and non-binary people learn more about these diseases. We can help low income people 40-64 years old with breast cancer services, and people 21-64 years old with cervical cancer services.

The program is designed to help you understand the benefits of early detection and find out where you can get screened. It is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

If you haven’t been screened in a long time, talk with your provider to find out if you’re eligible for CHA’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Program.

    Why get screened for cancer?

Breast and cervical cancers may not always cause symptoms, but there are screenings that can find them early. Both types of cancers are highly curable when found and treated early.

    Remember:

    • All people with a cervix are at risk for cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is one of the easiest cancers to prevent with regular tests and follow-up.
    • The risk for breast cancer increases with age.
