Adult MHFA is an 8-hour certification training that gives community members the skills to assist someone facing a mental health crisis. Trainees learn about risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
The training is being offered by the Cambridge Health Alliance in collaboration with and made possible through a grant from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration(SAMHSA).
