Additional Information
I've always been fascinated by the physical and emotional changes women experience in their transition to motherhood. I guess that started at age 3 when I decided I would someday love being a mom!
I started at Somerville Campus in 1990, and from the beginning loved the culturally diverse population we serve. Over my years of practice I have enjoyed building lasting relationships with women and their families, and establishing a safe space for women to ask questions and get support. I like having the opportunity to work with women at a time when they are motivated to make positive health changes and to learn more about how their bodies work. Over the years, I have seen whole families of women through their pregnancies and gynecology care. My relationships with patients mean a great deal to me. I'm currently studying to add an additional certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health nurse practitioner.
Outside of work, I like to walk and hike with my family and our dog. I also cook a lot, and sing in a chorus. I had great experiences giving birth to my two babies (now young adults) in a birth center, so I'm happy that we offer that option to our patients.
