As part of the new Pediatric Behavioral Health Urgent Care team at Somerville High School, I have been working with adolescents to address mental health concerns when they emerge. I’m thankful to be on a team that’s working to promote greater access and equity in mental healthcare. What I love most is helping our patients remember their many strengths during life’s challenges, and providing a space where they feel supported and understood. My experience includes youth and adult crisis intervention with the Boston Emergency Services Team, and adolescent therapy at a 45 day school assessment program.
