CHA Named a Best-in-State Employer by Forbes

Award recognizes CHA's commitment to workforce support

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), an academic community health system serving Cambridge, Somerville and Boston's metro-north region, has been included on the Forbes list of America's Best-in-State Employers 2025. The award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
Forbes and Statista surveyed more than 169,000 workers at companies across the nation to obtain employee recommendations from companies with more than 500 employees. Employees ranked working conditions, compensation, diversity, and potential for advancement and were asked if they would recommend their employer to others.

Survey respondents were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10 and were asked to evaluate their workplace based on criteria including wage parity, work culture, paths to professional advancement and whether the employer takes action on serious issues, such as sexual harassment. Participants were also asked to evaluate their previous employers (within the last two years) and organizations they knew within their industry or through friends or family who work there.

"At CHA, we are committed to strengthening and supporting our valued workforce to increase engagement and resilience," said Joy Curtis, chief human resources officer at Cambridge Health Alliance. "We are all very proud that CHA continues to appear in this prestigious list. We strive to be an employer committed to recognition, diversity, and providing quality care. We are thrilled by the validation of our team members to be included on this list."
