The Tuberculosis (TB) Program
Our program consists of clinical services conducted at the Schipellite Chest Center, and prevention, education and case management through the Cambridge Public Health Department.
The Schipellite Chest Center, located at the Cambridge Hospital Campus , is staffed by 4 physicians and 4 public health nurses. Patients of the Schipellite Chest Center receive X-rays, lab tests, medications and all visits free of charge. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reimburses Cambridge Health Alliance for each service.
Please note: This clinic does not do TB skin testing for routine work-related requirements.
Our services include:
- Evaluation of a positive skin test for tuberculosis
- Treatment of patients with active or latent TB infection
- TB skin testing for high risk individuals
- Case management for patients with active TB disease
