Free Health Assessments and Fitness Programs in September for Older Adults in Everett

Everett, Mass. – Cambridge Health Alliance’s Everett Older Adult Health Program, in partnership with the Everett Council on Aging and the Everett Foundation for the Aged, offers regular health and fitness programs for residents aged 60 and above.

SEPTEMBER HEALTH ASSESSMENTS

Connolly Center

  • Blood Pressure Screening
    Every Monday from 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Cholesterol and Glucose Screening
    Monday, September 9; 9-11 a.m. by appointment only.
    Sign up on Mondays 9-10:30 a.m. at the volunteers’ desk during blood pressure screening.

Everett Villa Co-op

  • Cholesterol and Glucose Screening
    Monday September 9; 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Glendale Towers

  • Cholesterol and Glucose Screening
    Monday, September 9; 2:30-3:30 p.m.

FITNESS PROGRAMS

  • Low-Impact Aerobic Exercise with Nancy McInerney
    Mondays and Wednesdays; 10-11 a.m.
    Go at your own pace in this high-energy class that has something for you whether you are already active or don’t exercise at all. 

  • Movement with Music with Tiffany Sankary
    Thursdays at 9 a.m.
    Join Tiffany for this smooth, relaxing “yoga-style” no impact class.  This class will also help you with your balance and stress levels and is designed for people of all levels of activity.  It is calming, uplifting and spiritual. 

  • Tai-Chi with Bill with Bill Baron
    Thursdays at 10 a.m.
    This relaxing, no-impact class will help you to maintain balance and lower your stress levels and is designed for people at all levels of activity. 

  • Interval Aerobics Training with Aimee Borda
    Fridays at 10 a.m.
    Come and try this low-impact aerobic with a different twist.  Keep moving and have fun!
