CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), an innovative community health system that provides essential services to Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities, held its eleventh annual golf Invitational on Monday, August 11th, at the Granite Links Golf Club at Quarry Hills in Quincy. The event raised $86K to support CHA and its critical community health mission.
Proceeds from the CHA Invitational will benefit Patient Experience of Care initiatives at CHA’s Cambridge, Somerville, and Whidden Hospital campuses. Funds raised this year will once again support investments that will improve patient care but are outside the system’s budget.
Since its first golf tournament in 2004, CHA has raised nearly $900,000 to help fund significant projects, including an upgrade to the Maternity Suite at CHA’s Cambridge Hospital campus and a complete renovation of the Emergency Department at the Whidden Hospital campus. Proceeds from last year’s Invitational are currently being used to install digital bulletin boards at CHA’s primary and specialty care centers and its hospital campuses.
“As a community business leader, I’m very proud to support Cambridge Health Alliance, which provides exceptional care for thousands of our neighbors,” said Dennis Cataldo, Vice President of Cataldo Ambulance Service and co-chair of the event. “I appreciate that so many other business leaders joined us at the Invitational to help improve our communities’ health.”
CHA received its first ever Gold sponsorship from Cresa Boston, a community partner that has sponsored the event for the past several years. Sponsors who supported the Invitational at the Silver level were Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Cataldo Ambulance, Digital Realty, IST/ImageTech, and Professional Ambulance. Bronze-level sponsors were All Care VNA & Hospice, Distrigas of Massachusetts, and Preotle, Lane & Associates.
